Sports: Around the majors

Chipper Jones suffered a sprained ankle and twisted his knee trying to field a slow grounder in yesterdays game. Hopefully this isn't too serious as I'd hate to see him gone for a while. Chipper is a great player and I wish him the best.

Barry Bonds still hasn't hit a homer as he is off to a very slow start. Even though he isn't hitting he is still walking once or twice a game and still has a 500 on base percentage. The Giants are still winning but will need Bonds to hit if they wish to have any success this year. Pitchers are figuring out how to pitch to him this year and I think his walk total will be significantly lower than any of the past few years.

Corey Sullivan of the Colorado Rockies became the first player to hit two triples in the same inning in over 55 years. Two triples in 1 game is impressive enough never mind 2 in the same inning.
