Thoughts: More idiotic thinking

I heard on the radio while driving around that 4 representatives want a time table for when we are going to pull out of Iraq. Funny I thought we already had one, its called when the job is done. If we leave anytime before that all the American deaths will have been in vain. If we leave 1 second before Iraq and the mid east is stabile and running on its own everything will be a waste. The tyrants and terrorists will take things back over and the cycle of terrorism will continue.

I still can't believe that these morons want a time table when we should withdrawal. I want someone to ask these idiots when we should get out of Germany, Japan, Vietnam, and a mess of other countries. Because we are still in those countries. These guys just don't realize how things work in the real world I guess. Hence why they became politicians.

If we tell the world we will be leaving in October of 2006, what the hell do you think the terrorists will do? Do you think they will fight as hard as they can to make the evil Americans leave? Nope they won't, they will lay back and do nothing in the hopes that we leave early. Then they can take over the country again.

No way you can compare Iraq to Germany, Japan and Vietnam. Just doesn't float.

The question is how many lives and billions of dollars are we going to lose before we realize that we will never get rid of people that hate and are willing to blow themselves and others up to show that hatred.

Is it a coincidence that our services are having a hard time getting recruits or are people just realizing the mess we've made and don't want to be a part of it?

Yes sadam was a ruthless leader and deserved to be taken down, but why is the man resposible for 9/11 still running free? What makes us think that he isn't planning something terrible again? Because we're in Iraq?

Yes, finish the job, but why not get the man responsible.

Why can't you compare those countries to Iraq?

And do you really think they aren't trying to get Bin laden?

Our war against terror isn't just against Alqaeda either. It is against anyone who supports and insprires terrorism. Last time i check Saddam was one of the bigget supporters of terrorism. Until there is more tranquility in the Mid East terrorism will bloom and grow. The only way to stop terrorism from spreading is to wipe out the leaders and spread democracy and freedom into the area. So the people there can see how awful there leaders are and how good they can have it.

Probably the main reason I don't think there's a comparison is because there wasn't a daily threat to our soldiers lives after the wars that led us to stay in Germany and Japan. We don't have a military presence in Vietnam.

Before you think I'm some bleeding heart, I'm not. I spent 22 years in uniform, spent 6 months in the desert the first time around. Everytime we lose a soldier it hurts very deeply.

This should be the lead story ever single day and night on the news. If we are at war then we should show it. Right now the only people that are at war are the soldiers and their loved ones who are having to shoulder this burden.

When they talk of bringing back a draft what do think will happen then?

Last time I checked our soldiers were in harms way after the war ended in Germany and Japan.

As for the draft, it won't be coming back. The only ones who talk about bringing back the draft are the anti war liberals who try and do anything to discredit our President.
